The annual Singing River Classic between the Pascagoula Panthers and the Gautier Gators will be played at 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, in Vaughn-Wallace Stadium at Gautier High School.
Key renovation work is still under way at Dutch-Binion Field in Pascagoula, leading to the decision to move the game to Gautier this year. Because of this change of venue, the Panthers will host the rivalry game in Pascagoula next football season.
The Panther season ticket holders with reserved seating will be refunded the difference in their tickets for this specific game.
The Colmer Middle School vs Gautier Middle School games scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017, will also be played at Vaughn-Wallace Stadium in Gautier. The seventh grade game will begin at 5 p.m. with the eighth grade game to follow at 6 p.m.
“We apologize for the inconvenience of this adjustment in our schedule,” said Supt. Wayne Rodolfich. “We want to provide the safest environment for our students and families to enjoy these facilities. We look forward to the opening of this beautiful venue by the end of this month.”
